Volunteers in Medicine of Dearborn, Ohio and Switzerland County – Board of Directors
These concerned citizens, from across three southeastern Indiana counties, have stepped up to the plate to combat the drastic shortfalls that their local citizens face every day due to lack of accessible, affordable, and adequate healthcare.
With mentorship from the national program Volunteers in Medicine, these community leaders hope to establish a no-fee clinic here in Dearborn County. Residents in any of the 3 counties that are under 250% of the poverty line will be eligible for routine medical care, diabetes monitoring, tertiary care, vision, dental, and mental care, all provided of course that there are licensed physicians willing to donate their time for these services.
The space, equipment, and personnel hours will all be donated from other concerned citizens and medical professionals that want to see these communities flourish. The VIMDOSC are waiting on a review of their 501(c)3 application to come back clear for submission to the IRS so they can start applying for grants and working hard to see this much-needed service not only come to fruition but flourish.
If you would like to donate your time, goods, funds, etc., please contact us today!
